capabilities. In Feather, it is extended with FireFTP, an integrated
FTP client, and Sage, an RSS reader.

creating space for new operating systems, reorganising disk usage, and
copying data to new hard disks

partimage - Partition Image is a Linux/UNIX partition imaging utility:
it saves partitions comprised of the Ext2FS (the Linux standard),
ReiserFS (a new journaled and powerful file system), NTFS (Windows NT
File System) or FAT16/32 (DOS & Windows file systems) file system
formats to an image file.

e2undel - Interactive console tool to recover the data of deleted
files on an ext2 file system under Linux. It does not require
knowledge about how ext2 file systems works and should be usable by
most people.

iftop - iftop does for network usage what top(1) does for CPU usage.
It listens to network traffic on a named interface and displays a
table of current bandwidth usage by pairs of hosts.

picocom - a minimal dumb-terminal emulation program

gpart - Gpart is a tool which tries to guess the primary partition
table of a PC-type disk in case the primary partition table in sector

socat - Socat (for SOcket CAT) establishes two bidirectional byte
streams and transfers data between them. Data channels may be files,
pipes, devices (terminal or modem, etc.), or sockets (Unix, IPv4,
IPv6, raw, UDP, TCP, SSL). It provides forking, logging and tracing,
different modes for interprocess communication and many more options.

SciTE - a GTK-based programming editor with syntax highlighting
support for many languages. Also supports folding sections, exporting
highlighted text into colored HTML and RTF.

prozilla - Multi-threaded download accelerator

mount.app - Dockapp for mounting and browsing devices, uses /etc/fstab

statistics such as graphs of connection speed.

iptables - The firewall provided with the Linux 2.4 and 2.6 kernels
(Feather also includes a few helpful scripts to make configuration
easier)

recover - Undelete files on ext2 partitions

amap - Amap allows you to probe IP ports for running protocols,
ignoring the port number. It does this by sending probe packets to the
port and analyzing the responses

hping2 - hping2 is a network tool able to send custom ICMP/UDP/TCP
packets and to display target replies like ping does with ICMP replies
